SCHNECK PHLEBOTOMISTS RECEIVE NATIONAL CERTIFICATION

Seymour, Ind.-Schneck Medical Center wishes to congratulate, Stephanie Davenport, PBT(ASCP), Luanne Enzinger-Bryant, PBT(ASCP), Patricia Gilbert, PBT(ASCP), and, Ashley Warren, PBT(ASCP), on receiving their certification in phlebotomy from the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the preeminent leader in the certification of medical laboratory professionals.

Phlebotomists are allied health professionals who draw blood from patients or blood donors for medical testing. They may also prepare and process blood tests. Each time a phlebotomist draws blood or sends out lab samples, they are creating that patient's blood history. That essential part of the patient's health profile will be in their record for a lifetime.

Achievement of the Phlebotomy Technician Certification requires a specific high level of knowledge in the specialty through successful completion of a rigorous, job-related examination. Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Registry serves as a symbol of a commitment to the highest standards of to the laboratory profession and to quality patient care.
