29th Annual Dr. "Bud" Charity Golf Tournament Raises Money for RN Scholarships

Seymour, Ind.-June 25, 2009-The team of Gary A. Meyer, Craig Rice, Blake Schepman, and Justin Blomenberg combined to score 56 and first place in the 29th Annual Dr. "Bud" Graessle Golf Scramble at Shadowood Golf Course on June 24.

Gary A. Meyer, Golf Chairman, reported that 152 golfers participated in the event, which over the past 29 years has raised more than $285,000 for the Dr. "Bud" Nursing Scholarship Fund.

The following teams were awarded golf prizes:
First Place: Gary A. Meyer, Craig Rice, Blake Schepman, and Justin Blomenberg (56)
Second Place: Barry Franklin, Rex Sanders, Tony Ball, and Angie Kerkhoff (56)
Third Place: Craig Luedeman, Jeremy Gray, Fred Hines, and Jeff Vance (57)
Fourth Place: Craig Moore, Ryan Hill, Doug Hill, and Chad Moore (58)
Fifth Place: Cliff Brock, Glen VonDielingen, Michael Davidson, and Jeremy Foster (58)
Sixth Place: Denny Schnepp, Daron Tegge, Jeff Morning, and Debbie Breen (59)
Seventh Place: Joe Huff, Joe Keller, David McCullough, Andrew Carlson (60)

All proceeds from the golf scramble provide scholarships for registered nursing students in Jackson, Jennings, and Scott counties. Individuals awarded Dr. "Bud" Scholarships this year include: Amber Andrew, Marian College; Tiffany Brewer, Indiana State University; Stephanie Burgess, Indiana University; Lori Colwell, Indiana Wesleyan; Sarah Ertel, Ball State; Stephanie Kilgas, Purdue; Rachel Luecke, IUPUI; Kristen Montgomery, Ivy Tech; Natalie Moore, Purdue; Kirby Rice, Indiana State; and Angela Rorick, Ball State.
