MIKE AUFFENBERG NAMED SCHNECK MEDICAL CENTER EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

Mike Auffenberg, Information Technology, has been named Schneck Medical Center’s Employee of the Year at its 35th Annual Employee Recognition Dinner. Auffenberg was nominated by his fellow coworkers who described him as: “Eager to help…and always with a smile on his face!” “He brightens spirits and encourages others to do their best work.” “Mike is truly a customer service champion.”
“Mike’s can-do attitude and willingness to help was instrumental in the implementation of our new dedicated helpdesk team,” said Craig Rice, Director of Information Technology at Schneck. “His focus on customer service and peer recognition prove that Mike sets the bar high, and should be honored as the 2010 Customer Service Employee of the Year.”
“Mike is another fine example of a Schneck Medical Center employee whose passion for living our values of integrity, compassion, accountability, vision, and excellence is evident in everything he does,” said Gary A. Meyer, President/CEO of Schneck.
In addition, Rachel Bullard, Emergency Department, was 1st runner up, and Mary Pyle, Ambulatory Care, 2nd runner up.
In total, the Employee Recognition program honored 89 employees who contributed 940 years of service and 7 retirees who gave 118 years of dedicated service. Gary A. Meyer, President/CEO of Schneck, presented the service awards. "Our employees are the heart of our rich history," said Meyer. "Just as they have shaped what we are today, they will also define our future."
