WARREN L. FORGEY, CPA, CGMA, MHA, FHMA, FACHE
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Forgey joined the Hospital in 1992 as Assistant Controller. He was promoted to Controller in 1994,
assumed Vice President and Chief Financial Officer 1996, and then named Executive Vice President and Chief
Administrative and Operations Officer in 2012. He assumed his present position in 2015. His prior experience includes collection manager,
Seymour National Bank from 1975 to 1976, credit, collections, business office positions, and directing auditing and financial analysis
departments for Bloomington Hospital (Bloomington, Indiana) from 1976 to 1991. Mr. Forgey is a Fellow of the Healthcare
Financial Management Association, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the Indiana
Hospital Association's Council on Finance, a member of the Board of Directors of Jackson County Bank, a member of
the Board of Directors of BanCorp of Southern Indiana, Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Health
Development Corporation, Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Coordinated Health, LLC, a
member of the Board of Directors of Innovative Physician Solutions, President of the Board of Directors of
the Jackson County Health Network, President of the Board of Directors of the Jackson County Tourism and Visitors' Center,
a member of the Board of Directors of Renal Care Group, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
and the Indiana Certified Public Accountants Society. Mr. Forgey received a Bachelor of Arts from the Indiana Institute of Technology in
1989 and a Master's Degree in Health Systems Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2002.
KATHY COVERT, MSM, CHM
Vice President—Human Resources
Ms. Covert began her career at the Hospital in 2003 after serving in HR and management roles in the banking and manufacturing industries. Ms. Covert has held the positions of HR Coordinator, HR Manager and HR Director at SMC prior to being named VP of HR. She earned her associates degree in Business from Ivy Tech, her Bachelors degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan and her Masters degree in Business Management with a HR specialization from Indiana Wesleyan. Certified as Healthcare Manager by Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental affairs, Ms. Covert is active in ASHHRA and ISHHRA and is currently serving as President Elect of the state society for 2011. She is active in the Jackson County United Way, the Jackson County HR group and is a Fort Vallonia Days steering committee member.
TAMMY DYE, MSN, RNC
Vice President—Clinical Services
Ms. Dye joined the Hospital in 1998 as Director of Nursing in Women and Children's Services and was promoted to Vice President of Clinical Services in 2004. She was previously with Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri as MDS Coordinator and with Columbia Hospital South in Springfield, Missouri and Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. Ms. Dye received a Diploma Degree in Nursing from St. John's School of Nursing in Springfield, Missouri in December 1993, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University in Springfield, Missouri in May 1996 and a Masters of Nursing Administration from University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, in December 2004.
VICKI JOHNSON, MSN, RN, NE-BC, CSSBB
Vice President—Nursing Services and Chief Nursing Officer
Ms. Johnson joined the Hospital in April 1997 as Director of Surgical Services. Prior to that time, she was a registered nurse having almost 30 years of active full-time employment in acute care hospitals. In September 2003, Ms. Johnson was promoted to Vice President of Nursing Services and currently holds that position. She was previously with Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana, as OR Educator and Head Nurse from 1990 to 1997. From 1984 to 1990, she served as Director of Surgical Services with North Clark Community Hospital and as Director of Nursing Services at Sweetwater Community Hospital in Sweetwater, Tennessee, from 1976 through 1980. Ms. Johnson received a Diploma Degree in Nursing from East Tennessee Baptist School of Nursing in 1975, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1996, and a Masters of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2000. She holds a certification in Nursing Administration and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Debbie Ridlen, CPA, MBA
Vice President - Fiscal Services/Treasurer
Ms. Ridlen began her career at the Hospital in 1994 as staff accountant. Since that time she has a held the positions of Director of Accounting and Controller prior to being named VP of Fiscal Services in February 2014. Before joining SMC, she spent six years in public accounting as Senior Accountant with Blue and Company. Ms. Ridlen is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University and Masters of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Ridlen also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Jackson County Health Network.
DOUGLAS A. TOWRISS, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Towriss joined the Schneck Medical staff in 2002. He graduated from Butler University in 1994 with high honors in chemistry. He completed medical school and residency training at Indiana University Medical Center with board certifications in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, American College of Physicians, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Towriss began offering critical care services at Schneck in 2002 and has developed a combined Adult and Pediatric hospitalist program. He continues his clinical duties in addition to serving as the CMO.
