Community Services
Schneck Medical Center is committed to making the communities we serve healthier places to live and work. Wellness focuses on taking an individual or organization to a higher level of health and well-being. Wellness is holistic, balancing physical, mental, and spiritual health. We strive to assist individuals in identifying their personal risk factors, helping build life-long skills, and utilizing resources to make appropriate behavior and lifestyle changes. It may be teaching someone with high cholesterol to use canola oil instead of vegetable oil, learning to cope with the stresses of work and family, or adding an evening walk and a nutritious meal. Wellness is individually defined.
For corporations, an employee wellness program helps to improve productivity and morale, decreases absenteeism, and reduces workers’ compensation claims. A healthy company leads to an overall expense reduction - making the company's bottom line healthy. If we can help bring health promotion to your business or you have questions about our community health events, contact our Community Wellness Coordinator by calling (812) 523-5861 or email.
If you have questions about the Women's Health Fair or the wellness seminars presented by the Schneck Foundation, please call (812) 524-4247 or email us.
