Schneck Foundation

The Schneck Foundation was established in 1953 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with mission to develop relationships and financial resources in support of Schneck Medical Center. The vision of the Foundation is to  provide opportunity for donations and to expand and consistently reevaluate the programs and use of the funds in support of the hospital.

The Schneck Foundation accepts gifts on Schneck’s behalf and works to fund both present and future equipment and program needs.  The Foundation manages $1.2 million in assets. Contributions of any amount are gratefully accepted and may be unrestricted gifts or designated for a specific hospital unit or program.  Most contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible, with 100% of each gift benefiting the hospital program or department designated by its donor.
 
A few projects sponsored entirely, or in part, by the Foundation include:
  • Transport vehicle for critical patients
  • Schneck Cancer Center
  • Heliport on hospital grounds
  • Patient education system
  • Support and Development for the Uninsured Clinic for Jackson County
  • Translation software in the Emergency Department
  • Radio for paramedic communication
  • Prostate screenings
  • Women's Health Fair
  • Mammography technology in the Women's Diagnostic Imaging Center
  • Radiology equipment in the Diagnostic Imaging Department
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation TV/education system
  • A special procedures surgery suite in the 1971 Building Construction Program
  • The Lifeline personal response system
  • A van used by Home Health Services
  • The corridor that connects the hospital with the Jackson County Medical Building
  • Daily newspapers that are delivered to hospitalized patients by Guild volunteers
  • The 1957 building project.
  • Scholarships for Jackson and Jennings County residents who are pursuing courses of study that will lead to technical/professional allied health careers. More than $75,000 have been awarded since this program was established in 1992.
