Schneck Executives

Schneck's senior leaders have more than 60 years of combined senior healthcare leadership experience. The team's commitment to quality and fiscal responsibility has resulted in consistent improvement in clinical outcomes, technology levels, and stakeholder engagement.

Schneck's senior leaders drive the organization to exceed the expectations of its patients and other key stakeholders to improve the overall health of the communities in which we serve.

President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Forgey joined Schneck in 1992 as Assistant Controller. He was promoted to Controller in 1994, assumed Vice President and Chief Financial Officer 1996, and then named Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative and Operations Officer in 2012. He assumed his present position in 2015.

Mr. Forgey is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana Certified Public Accountants Society.

Mr. Forgey received a Bachelor of Arts from the Indiana Institute of Technology in 1989 and a Master's Degree in Health Systems Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2002.

Vice President of Workforce and Organizational Development
Ms. Covert began her career at Schneck in 2003 after serving in Human Resources and management roles in the banking and manufacturing industries. Ms. Covert has held the positions of Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Director at Schneck prior to being named Vice President of Workforce and Organizational Development. She earned her associates degree in Business from Ivy Tech, her Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan and her Master's degree in Business Management with a Human Resources specialization from Indiana Wesleyan. She is certified as Healthcare Manager by Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental affairs.

Ms. Covert is active in the American Society for Health Care Human Resources Administration as well as the Indiana Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration.  Locally she is involved in the Jackson County Education Coalition, Turning Point Advisory Group, Seymour Area Chamber of Commerce, Eco Healthcare Network and is a Fort Vallonia Days chairperson.  

Vice President of Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Fish joined the Schneck Medical Staff in 2005 and founded Schneck Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2006. A Seymour native, he graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In 2013, he completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.
In his role, Dr. Fish provides executive leadership, direction, and administration of Schneck's medical staff.

Dr. Fish is a past President of the Schneck Medical Staff, Chairman of the Physician Excellence Committee, and Medical Director of Schneck Obstetrics & Gynecology. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Managers for Inspire Health Partners.

Vice President of Nursing Services and Chief Nursing Officer
Ms. Pettit joined Schneck more than twenty years ago. Most recently she was the Director of Nursing Excellence and Innovation. In that role she was instrumental in promoting patient safety and elevating the status of nurses throughout the organization.  Ms. Pettit received an undergraduate degree in Nursing from Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis. She then continued her education at the University of Southern Indiana where she earned her Masters of Science in Nursing and Doctorate of Nurse Practice, becoming the first DPN in Schneck's 100 year history. She holds a certification in Nursing Administration and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. 

Ms. Pettit is involved in the Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives, American Nurses Association, Indiana State Nurses Association, American Society for Quality, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.

Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Mann began her career at Schneck in 1994 as staff accountant. Since that time she has a held the positions of Director of Accounting and Controller prior to being named VP of Fiscal Services in February 2014. Before joining Schneck, she spent six years in public accounting as Senior Accountant with Blue and Company. Ms. Mann is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University and Masters of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.

She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Mann also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Jackson County Health Network.

Vice President of Clinical Services
Ms. Zabor began her career with Schneck in 1996 as a staff nurse. In 1998, she continued her nursing career as a staff nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, before returning to Schneck in 2005. Since that time, she has held the positions of staff nurse, Quality Outcomes Coordinator, and most recently the Director of Lean Six Sigma & Organizational Projects. Ms. Zabor has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University and Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Nursing Management and Leadership from the University of Southern Indiana.
