STACY EAST OF SCHNECK MEDICAL CENTER EARNS CERTIFICATION DESIGNATION
June 11, 2010

Schneck Medical Center announced today that Stacy East, RN, CNOR, has earned the CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) credential, a professional designation specifically designed for nurses whose practice emphasis is in providing nursing care in the surgical setting. East has been a member of Schneck’s healthcare team since 1998.

To become CNOR certified, an individual must have two years and 2,400 hours of experience as an operating room nurse. CNOR credentialing represents a level of professional achievement and a demonstrated knowledge of clinical competence and practice standards. Just as important, it demonstrates proficiency in support of quality patient care and sets a standard of commitment to the profession of operating room nursing.

“Earning the CNOR credential makes you a leader as well as a role model in the healthcare community and a steward for the operating room professional community,” said Pam Kershner, RN, Director of Surgical Services. “We are very proud of Stacy and her achievement of this certification, as it is just one more example of her dedication to providing excellence healthcare at Schneck. Congratulations, Stacy!”
