November 28, 2017
Warren Forgey, CPA, CGMA, MHA, FHMA, FACHE, President and CEO of Schneck Medical Center, has been elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Hospital Association (IHA).  He will serve a two-year term beginning January 1, 2018. Forgey is the first individual in Schneck’s history to serve as a board member of the IHA.

“I’m honored to serve on the IHA board and to have the opportunity to represent the perspective of our local community at the state level,” said Forgey. “This is a critically important time of transformation in healthcare. Current initiatives and decisions being made at the federal and state levels will be important for our patients and all citizens of this region and state. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute in this new role.”

Forgey has more than three decades of healthcare experience. Prior to his current position, he served as Schneck’s Executive Vice President of Fiscal Services & Business Development, Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative and Operations Officer.

“On behalf of Schneck Medical Center, the Board of Trustees, and the patients we serve, I congratulate Warren on his appointment,” said Rick Smith, chairman of the medical center’s board of trustees. “He is a talented, innovative leader who is committed to transformative healthcare.”

IHA’s Board of Directors includes representatives from hospitals of all sizes across Indiana. These hospital leaders provide their insight as IHA sets strategic priorities, plans its annual activities and reviews membership requests.
