Joyce Spurgeon, MD
Dr. Joyce Spurgeon is a board certified psychiatrist who works with adult patients.
She completed her undergraduate education at Georgetown College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Louisville specializing in Psychiatry. She is Board Certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Spurgeon has been on the medical staff since 2015.
Aaron Banister, PhD
Dr. Aaron W. Banister is a Licensed Counseling Psychologist that specializes in anxiety based disorders, depressive disorders, psychological adjustment to chronic illness, the cross-section of emotional health and spirituality, and formal assessment of cognitive abilities, personality, and potential for compliance with medical treatment in adult clients. Dr. Banister utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach that incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, positive psychology, and mindfulness.
Dr. Banister received is undergraduate degree at Johnson University with a bachelor of arts in Biblical Study. He completed his PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Louisville and his residency at the University of Notre Dame.
Dawn Goodman-Martin, MA, LMHC, LCAC, MAC, NCC
Dawn Goodman-Martin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She received her undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Dawn's area of specialty is addictions treatment and education of the addictive personality in adult clients. She also likes to work with quality of life issues, women’s issues, and substance use during pregnancy.
She approaches treatment from a Motivational Enhancement Therapy approach which involves behavioral modification and a cognitive development of the individual to strengthen and consolidate their own sense of motivation and commitment to change and promote a sense of self-efficacy.
Dawn grew up in Swayzee, IN and enjoys researching human behaviors, playing the piano, camping, mountain biking, flower gardening, knitting and raising bees.
