Our Staff

Jill Mikles, D.O.

Dr. Jill Mikles received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and completed her residency at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed her Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship at University of Illinois Chicago.

Dr. Mikles has extensive training in joint replacement surgery and sports medicine. She is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.

Dr. Mikles is an avid runner, participating in numerous marathons and half marathons. She was also an athlete in college, leading her Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville team to two Division II NCAA tournaments. She enjoys baking, Pilates, and traveling. Her goal is to travel to all 50 states.

 

Chad Smith, M.D.

Dr. Chad Smith received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He completed his Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Wake Forest University. Dr. Smith has extensive training in joint replacement surgery and sports medicine.

Dr. Smith grew up in Buckner, Kentucky. He loves spending time with his family, particularly outdoors, at the beach or at the pool. He also enjoys traveling; playing basketball, golf, softball, tennis; and working on home renovation and restoration projects.
 

Kris Williams, D.O.

Dr. Kris Williams graduated from Indiana University in 2000 with a degree in biology, and from Midwestern University Medical School in 2004. Following an internship at Midwestern University, he finished his residency at St. James Hospital, Northwestern University Hospital, Christ Hospital, and Shriners Hospital for Children among other teaching hospitals in the Chicago area. He joined Schneck Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2009.

Dr. Williams has extensive training in joint replacement surgery, orthopedic trauma, and sports medicine surgery. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.

Dr. Williams is currently one of the only physicians in southern Indiana performing the direct anterior approach hip replacement and Visionaire custom knee replacement.

Dr. Williams grew up in southern Indiana. His family originally settled in Seymour in 1846. He and his wife Stacey have three children, Mason, Kameron, and Tyler. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and biking.

 

Jason Woods, D.P.M., FACFAS

Dr. Jason Woods received his undergraduate education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he majored in Biological science and minored in psychology. Following completion of his bachelor’s degree, he went on to receive his doctorate of podiatric medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. He graduated magna cum laude and received several awards including the Proficiency in Surgery Award, the Michael L. Stone, DPM Award for Outstanding Professional Conduct, and the Dr. Jerry Brant Leadership Award. He was also honored by being named a Swanson Scholar Award Recipient for Independent Research and was the recipient of the University Honor Council Professionalism Award.
 
Dr. Woods completed his podiatric medicine and surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, PA. While at UPMC, his training was focused on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine of the foot and ankle, foot and ankle trauma surgery, limb salvage surgery, and advanced wound healing modalities.

Dr. Woods is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He joined the staff of Schneck Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2013.

Dr. Woods and his wife Kelly have three daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and playing guitar. He and his wife are avid sports fans and passionate supporters of Indiana University athletics and the Indianapolis Colts.
