Radio Frequency Ablation
uses radio frequency energy to close the enlarged vein. Using local anesthesia, a small catheter is placed with the aid of ultrasound. The catheter delivers radio frequency energy to the wall of the vein causing the vein to heat, collapse, and seal shut. Blood flow will be redirected to other, healthier veins within the affected area.
is a minimally invasive procedure used to remove varicose veins on the surface of the leg. This is done using local anesthesia and through tiny skin incisions. The incisions are so small, they do not require stitches are barely visible once healed.
