Scholarships

Schneck Medical Center and the Schneck Foundation are pleased to offer scholarships to area students interested in entering the medical field after college graduation. The following scholarships are available:

Nursing School Students

 

Schneck Medical Center accepts scholarship applications for the Dr. "Bud" Graessle Scholarship. This scholarship is for eligible candidates who are currently enrolled in a registered nursing program at an accredited school. Applications are available March 15-May 22.

The Dr. "Bud" Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. H.P. "Bud" Graessle (1893-1977). Born in Seymour, Dr. Graessle was a practicing physician and surgeon for 53 years until his retirement in 1971.
 

 

Clinical / Technical (Allied Health) Students

(including, but not limited to, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Physician Assistant, and Surgical Technology students)
 
The Schneck Foundation accepts scholarship applications for the Allied Health Scholarship. This scholarship is for eligible candidates who are 
planning to enroll or are currently enrolled in a clinical / technical healthcare field. Applications are available January 15-March 15.
 

Medical School Students

Schneck Medical Center accepts scholarship applications for the George H. James Scholarship. This scholarship is for eligible candidates who are currently enrolled in medical school. Applications are available February 3-April 3.

The George H. James, Jr. Scholarship was established in honor of George H. James, Jr. for his 3
3 years of dedicated service to Schneck Medical Center. Born in Kentucky, Mr. James became President/CEO of Schneck Medical Center in 1968 and retired in 2001. Throughout his 33 years, James had a passion for physician recruiting and recruited numerous physicians to Schneck.
 

Junior Volunteer Scholarship Application

Junior Volunteer Students

Schneck Medical Center accepts scholarship applications for the Kim Quilleon Varnell Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who have previously been a junior volunteer with the Schneck Guild. Applications are available until March 31.
