Instant Pot Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork

Instant Pot, the new and improved pressure cooker, is a popular kitchen appliance right now.  If you have an Instant Pot, you will enjoy this fast pulled pork recipe flavored with Dr. Pepper.  Don't have an Instant Pot?  You can still make this in your slow cooker by cooking on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.

2-3 lb. pork loin
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. salt
½ onion, chopped
1 cup Dr. Pepper
½ cup BBQ sauce
  1. Cut pork loin to fit into Instant Pot. 
  2. Coat with salt, onion powder and garlic powder.
  3. Chop onion and place in pot.
  4. Place pork in the pot and pour in Dr. Pepper soda.
  5. Add BBQ sauce.
  6. Place pot on Manual High pressure for 1 hr. 10 minutes.
  7. Release pressure.
  8. Remove pork and drain juices.
  9. Shred with a fork and top with more BBQ sauce. Enjoy.
