Are You High Risk for Lung Cancer? Find Out Now.
Kristin Hines, MSN, RN - June 12, 2020
National studies have shown low dose CT lung screenings can diagnose early stage lung cancer. An early diagnosis can save your life. Schneck Medical Center offers CT lung screenings for $25 and your results will be sent to you, as well as your physician.

Patients considered "high risk" are eligible for this screening:
  • Age 55‐77 with at least a 30 pack‐year smoking history—one pack a day for 30 years or two packs a day for 15 years—who continue to smoke or who quit less than 15 years ago.
  • Age 50 or older with at least a 20 pack‐year smoking history—one pack a day for 20 years or two packs a day for 10 years—and at least one additional risk factor (occupational exposure, radon exposure, survivor of a head and neck cancer, smoking related cancer or lymphoma, first degree relative with lung cancer, COPD/pulmonary fibrosis).
If you smoke, a 10-second exam could save your life.
If you are at high risk for lung cancer, please call (812) 522‐0433 to schedule your screening.
