Schneck Medical Center Opens Pulmonology Medicine Practice
October 03, 2016
Schneck Medical Center has opened Schneck Pulmonology, an outpatient pulmonary medicine practice in the Jackson Medical Building, Suite 230, 225 South Pine Street, Seymour.

Schneck Pulmonology is directed by David Wilson, MD, FCCP. Dr. Wilson offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with all varieties of lung disease including cancer, asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, and others.

Dr. Wilson is a national leader in navigational bronchoscopy. Navigational bronchoscopy combines electromagnetic navigation with real-time, three-dimensional CT images for more accurate diagnosis of lung cancer. Navigational bronchoscopy is a minimally-invasive procedure and enables Dr. Wilson to biopsy and treat tumors in distant regions of the lungs not accessible with standard bronchoscopy.

Dr. Wilson also specializes in photodynamic therapy to relieve the symptoms of lung cancer and help patients breathe better. Photodynamic therapy uses photo-sensitive light to kill cancer cells without causing extensive damage to surrounding tissue. Photodynamic therapy can extend and promote a better quality of life for the patient.

For more information on the services provided by Dr. David Wilson and Schneck Pulmonology, please call 812-524-3328. For a referral to Schneck Pulmonology, speak with your primary care physician.
