Schneck Cancer Center Report Now Available Online
December 06, 2017
Schneck Cancer Center’s 2017 Cancer Report is now available for online viewing. Each year, Schneck Cancer Center publishes an Annual Report on its comprehensive cancer program. The report gives detailed information on 2016 cases and outcomes, new treatments, and the many support services available to Schneck patients.
“Our annual cancer report breaks down an entire year of clinical excellence into easy to follow numbers and charts. This statistical analysis allows us to look for trends and to compare ourselves to national averages,” said Sally Acton, RN, BSN, MSM, OCN, Director of Cancer and Palliative Care Services at Schneck. “Each case identified is not only a patient; it is a network of family, friends, and co-workers who are each impacted by that patient’s cancer journey. It also represents the doctors, surgeons, nurses, technicians, and other professionals who work as a team to help that person fight their cancer battle. We hope this report helps you gain a greater understanding of what makes Schneck Cancer Center one of the finest cancer centers in the region.”
Schneck Cancer Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and in 2016 was granted its Outstanding Achievement Award. Schneck is one of only 41 cancer programs across the nation to receive the distinguished award. In addition, Schneck is one of only four in the state of Indiana and the only cancer program in the Southern Indiana to be honored.
