The Schneck Guild donated 30 activity totes, PlayStation games, movies, and prizes for the “painful procedure” drawer to the pediatric unit at Schneck Medical Center.
The tote bags were handmade by the Guild Sewing Committee and filled with age and gender specific items such as Schneck Teddy Bears, blankets, coloring books, balls, cars, sticker books, and teething rings.
“The Schneck Guild hopes to lessen the stress and anxiety children feel when they are admitted to the hospital by providing these fun-filled activity totes,” said Amy Cockerham, Schneck Volunteer Manager.
“As a nurse, I know it’s sometimes the little things that make the day just a bit brighter for our pediatric patients,” said Cassie Lee, RN. “These are the little extras that really make a difference for children and their families.”
