May 01, 2017
SIHO Insurance Services has donated $50,000 to the Schneck Foundation. The funds will benefit the Restore Hope. Restore Life. project for Schneck’s new Rehab Center and 4D CT Simulator at the Schneck Cancer Center.
The $50,000 gift was comprised of a $20,000 donation directly to the Schneck Foundation plus a $20,000 endowment at the Community Foundation of Jackson County with a $10,000 match.
“The gift from SIHO received $10,000 in matching funds from the Community Foundation through its 25 Funds for 25 Years program,” said Dan Davis, President & CEO. The program is an initiative celebrating the Community Foundation’s 25th anniversary this year.
"SIHO is proud to be associated with Schneck Medical Center. As a company providing health benefits coverage and insurance products to the Jackson County area, we wanted to help our community hospital,” said David Barker of SIHO said when discussing creation of the SIHO Schneck Foundation Endowment. “We believe that this endowed fund, made available through the Community Foundation of Jackson County, will be able to assist several projects over the course of the next several years and possibly serve as a catalyst for positive improvements in the community.”
"SIHO's gift has given all three organizations an opportunity to demonstrate a collaborative effort we are all proud of. The donation will be used for the benefit of patients in need of rehabilitation services and to enhance radiation treatment for cancer patients,” said Rexanne Ude, Executive Director of the Schneck Foundation. “We value these relationships and appreciate the chance to work with both SIHO's representatives and Dan Davis at Jackson County Community Foundation."
Patrons and supporters of Schneck Medical Center may make donations to the Schneck Foundation Endowment to help build the fund and increase the annual grant it will pay to Schneck Foundation. For information, contact at the Community Foundation at 812-523-4483.
