Neawedde Earns Certification in Lifestyle Medicine
December 13, 2019
The American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM) announced that Denise
Neawedde, NP‐C, has been certified as a Diplomat of the ABLM/American College of Lifestyle
Medicine (ACLM) and the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine.

Neawedde is a certified nurse practitioner with Well Life by Schneck. She obtained her degree
from Indiana University where she specialized in family medicine.

Lifestyle medicine is about finding and treating the underlying cause of a disease. “Many of the
diseases we see are reversible with lifestyle medicine,” says Neawedde. “Through the use of
evidence‐based lifestyle therapeutic approaches, such as a predominantly whole food, plantbased
diet, physical activity, adequate sleep, stress management, tobacco cessation, and other
non‐drug modalities, we can prevent, treat, and, oftentimes, reverse chronic disease.”

“Schneck is at the forefront of Lifestyle Medicine, focusing not only on the treatment of chronic
illnesses, but on prevention and even reversal of otherwise life‐threatening medical conditions,”
said Dr. Eric Fish, MD, MBA, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Schneck
Medical Center. “Denise is a leader in the field of lifestyle medicine. Her expertise and training
will be of great value to patients in the region.”
