Schneck Welcomes Dr. Kenneth Kennedy

Dr. Kennedy is an otolaryngologist joining Southern Indiana ENT. He received his medical degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Clarksville, Tennessee. In high school, I enjoyed running cross-country, track, and playing in the church band. In college, I participated in student government and was briefly the mascot (the governor) for Austin Peay State University.
Please tell us about your family. I have the best, most beautiful, smartest, and hardworking wife in the world.  We love to spend time with our countless nieces and nephews.  
What hobbies do you enjoy? I enjoy playing guitar and piano, listening to blues music, eating barbecue and tacos, playing basketball and soccer, restoring vintage cars, and learning to speak Amharic.
What is the one place you would most like to visit? Addis Ababa, Ethiopia!
When did you know you wanted to be a physician? I knew I wanted to be a physician when my parents instructed me that I was going to become one.
What is a favorite memory from your medical training? My favorite memory was seeing robotic surgery for the first time.
What do you like most about practicing medicine? I love talking with families and enjoy the technical complexities of head and neck surgery.
What is your most memorable patient story? My favorite memory was seeing a patient smile and show gratitude for the care that I was able to provide for them in the emergency room.
