Interventional Pulmonology

Pulmonology is the study and treatment of the lungs and respiratory system. From simple inpatient oxygen use to continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bronchoscopies to photodynamic light therapy, our team provides innovative care for those with pulmonary diseases.

Navigational Bronchoscopy

Dr. Wilson is a national leader in navigational bronchoscopy which combines electromagnetic navigation with real-time, three-dimensional CT images for more accurate diagnosis of lung cancer. Navigational bronchoscopy is a minimally-invasive procedure and enables Dr. Wilson to biopsy and treat tumors in distant regions of the lungs not accessible with standard bronchoscopy.

Photodynamic Therapy

Dr. Wilson also specializes in photodynamic therapy to relieve the symptoms of lung cancer and help patients breathe better. Photodynamic therapy uses photo-sensitive light to kill cancer cells without causing extensive damage to surrounding tissue. Photodynamic therapy can extend and promote a better quality of life for the patient.
