I grew up in Mt. Orab, Ohio, one hour east of Cincinnati. In high school, I played football, tennis, and participated in mock trial. In college, I was involved in the Baptist Student Union and was able to travel on several mission trips. I also participated in intramural basketball and broomball which is a version of hockey without skates. ### Please tell us about your family. My wife Susan and I have seven children. ### What hobbies do you enjoy? My family and I are very involved in our church. I also enjoy reading, playing basketball, and running. ### Where would you most like to visit? Israel! ### When did you know you wanted to be a physician? My father was an emergency room doctor so growing up I always had the desire to be a physician. It was in high school when I finally made the decision to go to medical school. ### What is your favorite medical school memory? My wife and I went to medical school together. We spent a lot of time studying together during our first years of marriage. ### What do you like most about practicing medicine? I enjoy the relationships with patients and being able to be a part of their lives in a very unique way. ### What is your most memorable patient story? Taking care of a mom in residency with quads–4 babies at once! I have maintained contact with her family through the years, and it has been exciting to see them grow up. ### What attracted you to working at Schneck? The quality of the organization as well as the small town feel.
