The Schneck Nephrology team wants to ensure your kidneys are functioning well to help you maintain a healthy quality of life. [Call 812-523-4860](tel:8125234860) Your primary care physician may refer you to a nephrologist if you have a disease that may affect your kidneys and their ability to function. Diabetes, kidney failure, high blood pressure, and renal disease are some of the conditions that might bring you to a nephrologist. Schneck Nephrology provides individualized, compassionate and comprehensive care to those who suffer from kidney disease. At your first appointment with Schneck Nephrology, our team will examine your medical history and may order tests to help diagnose and treat your condition. Our nephrologist will work closely with your primary care and other physicians to coordinate your care. When the kidneys have stopped working properly, our nephrologist may recommend dialysis. Dialysis, also known as renal replacement therapy, involves diverting the blood through a machine to clean it and remove toxins when the kidneys can no longer do so, because of kidney failure or advanced kidney disease.
