Preparing for Your Surgery

What to expect during your surgical procedure

Preparing for your procedure

PACE (Pre-operative Assessment, Consultation, and Education) is a program designed to make it easy and convenient for you to have your procedure done at Schneck. You will also receive all the information you will need to help hasten the healing process. Learn more about our PACE Program.

What to expect when you arrive for your surgery

Outpatient surgeries begin and end in our private Same Day Surgical Suites. Nurses will provide information, assessments, and answer any questions from patients and their families before and after their procedure.

Once the patient is readied for their procedure, they will be wheeled to pre-op to begin their surgical program. Family members will have a comfortable reception area to await their family member's recovery. Our staff will keep a designated family member informed by a phone conversation at each step in the process.

Fresh coffee is available in the Surgery reception area. Families are also welcome to visit our cafeteria during their stay. The cafe is conveniently located on the first floor.
