 Breast Surgery refers to the treatment of breast issues, such as cancer, that require the removal of breast tissue. This is also known as a mastectomy. Oncologists may recommend a mastectomy based on the stage of cancer as well as the location. Mastectomies can also be considered a preventative measure for those with a high genetic disposition for breast cancer.
