The Importance of Primary Care

Primary care can be an often overlooked but crucial element to your overall health. Primary care providers offer relevant, preventative care for you and your loved ones throughout your life span. We covered several crucial reasons in our blog to help you understand how enriching a primary care provider can be for your overall health.

Choosing a Schneck Primary Care Provider

Step 1 - Assess Your Needs

Consider the health needs you or your family currently have. Are you wanting to establish a relationship with a primary care provider at Schneck for regular checkups? Perhaps you're nearing an age where recommended health screenings should be undertaken. If you want to take control of your health and be proactive, then a primary care provider at Schneck is likely right for you.

Step 2 - Consider the Patient's Age

Would you like a provider focused solely from newborn to 18 years old, or would you like a provider that sees patients of all ages?  Would you like a provider to care for your entire family.  We have providers in Schneck Pediatrics who focus on children through their formative years.  We have Schneck Primary Care providers who care for patients at any age.  You can even have the same provider for your whole family. Primary Care providers at all of our offices want to build a relationship with you to better treat your overall health.

Step 3 - Schedule an Appointment

It's important that your primary care provider be accessible and near where you live so they can provide timely care. If you're located in Southern Indiana, Schneck is the ideal primary care provider for you and your family. Give us a call and we'll connect you with an available primary care provider, close to home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Primary care providers are responsible for your entire wellness. They are focused on every aspect of your health and how various diseases can affect your body. Specialists focus exclusively on the organ area they specialize in. For example, a cardiologist is focused on your heart health. Knowing that primary care providers treat your overall wellbeing can help you decide if your health concerns are better treated by them or a specialist.
