Schneck Medical Center Named Top 20 Rural and Community Hospital

Schneck Medical Center has been named one of the Top 20 Rural and community hospitals in the country. This is the second consecutive year Schneck has been named to the Top 20.

The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) has announced the 20 highest-ranked hospitals in the country based on an evaluation by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. The selected hospitals are identified through the Hospital Strength INDEX®, the most comprehensive and objective assessment of U.S. rural prospective payment system hospital performance.

The determining factors for the top 20 rural and community hospitals are based on eight indices: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, costs, charge, and financial efficiency.

“Schneck Medical Center is proud of the efforts of its physicians and team members who have contributed to our hospital achieving this designation,” says Eric Fish, MD, MBA, FACOG, CEO and President of Schneck. “Our recognition as a top healthcare provider means our community can count on us to deliver the services they need now and in the future.”
