Schneck Medical Center has ranked as the number one Most Nurse-Friendly Hospital in the nation by TopRNtoBSN.com, an influential nursing career and education website.

The ranking used U.S. News & World Report, CMS, the National Database of Nurse Quality Indicators, the American Nurses Credential Center Magnet Recognition Program, and the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Patient Survey to determine the top hospitals for nurses.

The list names hospitals in the United States that have demonstrated a high valuation of their nursing staff, provide employees with a host of benefits, support teams, and provide outstanding work environments.

Schneck was among an elite group of hospitals honored including Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Cedars-Sinai, and Cleveland Clinic.

TopRNtoBSN.com stated…”At Indiana’s Schneck Medical Center, nurses enjoy their work so much that satisfaction levels have exceeded the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators standard for three consecutive years. In addition, Schneck received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, a nationwide honor for performance excellence. One reason was because of its empowered and involved workforce. (…)The hospital has (four times) been and is currently recognized by the Magnet accreditation system. It has also been listed as among the top places to work in the state of Indiana by several industry publications.”

“Schneck nurses are truly extraordinary. They are shining examples of how maintaining a strong commitment to the tenets of our professional practice of nursing allows us to sustain a culture of excellence,” said Amy Pettit, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CSSBB, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Schneck Medical Center. “I am proud of their work and proud to support them as they provide the highest quality of care to our families, friends and neighbors every day.”
