Sparks of Strength Ceremony
Schneck Invites Community to Sparks of Strength Ceremony
A special event to honor and remember those affected by colorectal cancer
Seymour, Ind.— Schneck Medical Center invites the community to join in a moment of reflection and remembrance at the Sparks of Strength ceremony, honoring those who have battled colorectal cancer.
During this meaningful event, participants will receive a blue tea light—symbolizing colorectal cancer awareness—to pay tribute to loved ones affected by the disease. Attendees will also have the opportunity to “pass the torch” by encouraging someone they know to schedule a screening colonoscopy, a vital step in early detection and prevention.
Schneck Sparks of Strength will take place on Friday, March 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Lobby of Schneck Medical Center, just inside the patient entrance.
The Importance of Colorectal Cancer Screening
Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. However, 90% of cases are curable if detected early. Regular screenings can identify and remove precancerous polyps before they develop into cancer, significantly improving outcomes.
If you are 45 or older or have risk factors such as smoking, obesity, physical inactivity, or heavy alcohol use, talk to your physician about scheduling a colonoscopy.
Join us in raising awareness, honoring lives, and promoting the power of prevention.
