“I wanted to support the Schneck Foundation's Hospice Fund because I have experienced the gratitude of family members as they received the support of Hospice staff. Their loved one receives excellent care, and later the remaining family members are offered helpful resources to navigate their grief.”

Your Gifts at Work!
Schneck Hospice Projects
Through a Schneck Foundation grant, butterfly clings were purchased to provide a visual cue that identifies a patient as a hospice patient for Emergency Medical Services. This helps decrease unnecessary emergency room visits for hospice patients and increase the quality of care provided.
Various medical equipment for Hospice patients has been purchased to support patient safety and comfort for end-of-life care. In addition, copies of "A Different Season" book for hospice patients, families, and caregivers were purchased to provide information about Hospice care, education, and support.
Rock Steady Boxing Program
Thanks to a generous donation from Jackson Lodge #146, F. & A. M. and a matching gift from the Schneck Foundation, Rock Steady Boxing is now being offered at CrossFit Seymour. Rock Steady Boxing is an internationally recognized program with certified trainers that address the quality of life needs of people with Parkinson’s disease.
Whole Health Connection Zone Project
The Schneck Foundation pledged $75,000 to the Whole Health Connection Zone project in support of mental health and substance use disorder treatment and recovery. This is a collaboration among five community partners including the Jackson County Board of Commissioners/County Council, the City of Seymour, the Schneck Foundation, ASAP of Bartholomew County, and the Community Foundation of Jackson County, with additional funding from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. to help enhance the quality of life of residents in Jackson County. The project is set to begin in 2025.
Cancer Center Waiting Room Furniture
We provided new comfortable, safe, and clean chairs for our patients. For cancer patients, cleanliness and infection prevention are so important. We educate our patients on prevention and cleanliness and want our waiting room to offer that same environment.
Safe Sitter Program
With funding from a Schneck Foundation grant, Safe Sitter is offered at no cost to children entering grades 6 through 8 in our service area. This program teaches them how to become responsible and safe babysitters. Over the past three years, 281 children have participated in this important community initiative.
Emergency Life-Saving Equipment
In 2023, through our Giving Tuesday effort, It’s A Matter of Heart, the Schneck Foundation purchased 9 medical-grade defibrillators for the Medical Center, 2 LUCAS Devices for our Critical Care Unit and Emergency Department, and one public access AED with alarmed wall cabinet for all 13 high schools in our service area.
“Schneck Medical Center provides compassionate medical professionals who save lives. I give monthly to the Schneck Foundation because I want to support a mission that provides high-quality healthcare to those who need it most, ensuring my contributions make a lasting impact.” ~Monthly Donor
