Eric D. Fish, MD, MBA, FACOG

President/Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Eric Fish became President/Chief Executive Officer of Schneck Medical Center in September 2020. In this capacity, he also serves as President of Health Development Corporation, President of Coordinated Health, and an ex officio of the Schneck Medical Center Foundation. Dr. Fish graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He obtained his MBA from the University of Tennessee. Professional Affiliations: American Hospital Association (AHA), Board of Trustees; AHA Regional Policy Board 5, Chair; Indiana Hospital Association, Board of Directors; Suburban Health Organization, Board of Directors; SIHO Holdings, Board of Directors; JC Bank, Board of Directors; Jackson County Industrial Development, Board of Directors; Community Foundation of Jackson County, Board of Directors; Boys & Girls Club of Seymour, Board of Directors; and the Jackson County Ambulance Board. Kathy Covert, MSM, SHRM-CP, CHM

Vice President of Professional Services and Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms. Covert began her career at Schneck in 2003 after serving in Human Resources and management roles in the banking and manufacturing industries. She has held the positions of Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Director at Schneck prior to being named Vice President of Workforce and Support Services in 2011 and Vice President of Professional Services and Chief Human Resources Officer in 2025. Ms. Covert earned her associates degree in Business Administration from Ivy Tech. She completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan. She is certified by SHRM as a Certified Professional and as a Healthcare Manager by Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Professional Affiliations: Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM); Indiana Hospital Association Council on Rural Health; Ivy Tech Community College Regional Board of Trustees; Indiana Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration. Deborah Mann, CPA, MBA

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Mann began her career at Schneck in 1994 as a staff accountant. Since that time she has held the positions of Director of Accounting and Controller prior to being named VP of Fiscal Services in February 2014. She served as Vice President and CFO until early 2026 when she became Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Schneck, she spent six years in public accounting as Senior Accountant with Blue and Company. Ms. Mann is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University and Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Amy Pettit, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CSSBB

Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer

Dr. Pettit began her career at Schneck Medical Center in 1994 as a student nurse. In 1995, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Dr. Pettit later continued her education at the University of Southern Indiana where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Nursing Management and Leadership, and a Doctorate of Nurse Practice (DNP) with an emphasis in organizational and systems leadership, becoming the first DNP in Schneck's 100-year history. She is a Board Certified Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt by the American Society for Quality. Professional Affiliations: IUC Advisory Board; IUC Nursing Advisory Board; Indiana Hospital Association Council on Patient Quality and Safety. Membership: American Nurses Association; Indiana State Nurses Association; Indiana Organization for Nursing Leadership; American Society for Quality; and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Craig Rice, CHCIO

Chief Information Officer/Vice President

Craig Rice, Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer, began his career with Schneck Medical Center in 2008 as the Director of Information Technology. In this role, he led the technical operations and strategic IT planning for the organization. In 2016, his role expanded to include oversight of Lean Six Sigma. In 2019, Rice joined Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as Assistant Vice President for Information Services. He returned to Schneck as Chief Information Officer in August 2021. His professional associations include the Health Information and Management Systems Society and College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.

Mindy Roeder, MBA

Vice President of Specialty/Surgical Services and Business Development

Ms. Roeder began her career at Schneck in 2011 as Director of Physician Recruitment. Since then, she has advanced through several leadership roles, including Director of Business Development and Executive Director of Business Development and Provider Relations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business, insurance and risk management from Indiana State University and an MBA with a concentration in healthcare from the University of Southern Indiana. Beyond her professional role, Ms. Roeder is deeply committed to community leadership.  She co-founded and co-directs Cougar Volleyball Club, LLC, a program serving nearly 200 local athletes annually, providing opportunities for youth development and competitive play. She has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Indiana State Lutheran Athletic Association, Seymour Main Street, and Immanuel Lutheran School. Additionally, she has coached volleyball at multiple levels for nearly two decades. Her dedication to community engagement has earned her recognition as a Champion by Girls Inc. of Jackson County and the Rising Star Award from the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

Ryan Stone, DO, MS

Chief Medical Officer/Vice President

Dr. Stone joined the Schneck Hospitalist team in 2015. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics through the University of Missouri - Kansas City (Truman Medical Center, Children's Mercy Hospital, and Saint Luke's Hospital). Professional Certifications: American Board of Internal Medicine, board certified; American Board of Pediatrics, board certified. Professional Associations: Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics; Society of Hospital Medicine; American College of Physicians; American Academy of Pediatrics. Community and Volunteer Involvement: Music Ministry, Spiritual Life Commission, and Faith Formation Commission, St Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour; Medical Missionary to Gandou, Haiti; United Way of Jackson County Steering Committee for Schneck Medical Center.

Susan Zabor, MBA, MSN, BSN, FACHE, CSSBB

Vice President of Primary Care and Chief Quality Officer

Susan Zabor began her career with Schneck in 1996 as a staff nurse. In 1998, she continued her nursing career as a staff nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, before returning to Schneck in 2005. Since that time, she has held the positions of staff nurse, Quality Outcomes Coordinator, and Director of Lean Six Sigma & Organizational Projects, Vice President of Clinical and Provider Management and now serves at Vice President of Primary Care and CQO. Zabor has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Nursing Management and Leadership from the University of Southern Indiana, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana, and is certified by the American Society for Quality as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Her professional affiliations include: Leapfrog Hospital Advisory Council; American Society of Quality; Indiana Rural Health Association, Board of Directors; Healthy Jackson County Membership; American College of Healthcare Executives; Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - American Society of Quality.
