Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Westerville, Ohio. In high school, I played basketball, softball, golf, and participated in theater. In college at Indiana University, I was a member of Alpha Chi Sigma professional chemistry fraternity and enjoyed attending IU sporting events.

Please tell us about your family

My husband Michael and I have a have a dog named Madison and a cat named Millie.

What hobbies do you enjoy?

I enjoy reading, cooking, barre, and travel.

Where is the one place you would most like to visit?

There are too many to name!

When did you know you wanted to be a physician?

Between sophomore and junior year of college.

What is your favorite memory from your medical training?

In residency, the comradery between my fellow residents was incredible. One of the best experiences was going to the American College of Surgeons meeting in San Diego and winning resident surgical jeopardy with one of my co-residents as the only all-female team.

What do you like most about practicing medicine?

Being able to help people when they are feeling their worst.
