Chronic Pain

Chronic pain refers to any pain that persists with little to no relief. The pain can subside at times but is usually consistently present over a length of time. The pain can be located anywhere in the body and may be due to diseases such as arthritis or fibromyalgia, an injury, or as a result of aggressive treatments (such as cancer medications).

Chronic pain can be debilitating and its prolonged nature can cause anxiety or depression in sufferers. Treatment of chronic pain is possible through pain management practices that may include medications, injections, or topical products. Providers may also recommend emotional support for pain management including seminars, support groups, meditation practices, and therapy.
