I grew up in Mt. Orab, Ohio, one hour east of Cincinnati. In high school, I played football, tennis, and participated in mock trial. In college, I was involved in the Baptist Student Union and was able to travel on several mission trips. I also participated in intramural basketball and broomball which is a version of hockey without skates.
My wife Susan and I have seven children.
My family and I are very involved in our church. I also enjoy reading, playing basketball, and running.

My father was an emergency room doctor so growing up I always had the desire to be a physician. It was in high school when I finally made the decision to go to medical school.
My wife and I went to medical school together. We spent a lot of time studying together during our first years of marriage.
I enjoy the relationships with patients and being able to be a part of their lives in a very unique way.
Taking care of a mom in residency with quads–4 babies at once! I have maintained contact with her family through the years, and it has been exciting to see them grow up.
The quality of the organization as well as the small town feel. Plus, I get to work with Dr. Fish!
