Melanie McGlothlin, WHNP-BC, MSN, worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Schneck for ten years before she returned to school and became a Nurse Practioner. She concentrated her studies in the area of women's health. She is certified by the National Certification Corporation. Melanie joined Schneck Medical Center in 2010.

I grew up in Scottsburg, Indiana. In high school, I played volleyball and was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
I live with my husband Matt and our four children, three daughters and one son. Matt is a High School mathematics teacher and has enjoyed teaching in our hometown for the past 20 years.
We enjoy camping and hiking as a family. Soccer is our sport of choice and we enjoy coaching and watching our children play.
Matt and I hope to visit Ireland one day!
I have wanted to be a nurse practitioner for as long as I can remember. I loved playing ‘nurse’ as a child. My stuffed animals were well taken care of and received regular check-ups during my childhood!
I enjoy being able to offer my patients my time. It is such a pleasure to know that I have helped someone improve even a small aspect of their life.
When I was a little girl, I remember driving by this hospital and telling my mom that I was going to work here someday. I carried this memory with me until 1997 when I was hired at Schneck as a nursing student. Since then, I have worked as an RN and now as a Nurse Practitioner. I have grown up alongside many of the physicians and nurses in this hospital. Schneck Medical Center is my second family.
