Schneck Foundation Impacting Chemo Patients

| News

When Ann Akemon, a chemo patient at the Schneck Cancer Center, wrote a request to the Schneck Foundation, the Foundation Board was honored to help. Her request for more comfortable seating in the Cancer Center infusion room has been fulfilled and patients are experiencing the benefits. The new chairs are fully automatic, heated, have USB ports and provide comfort during treatments. "The Schneck Cancer Center is a really nice place, and these chairs are just an added benefit. If you have to do chemo, let's make it the best possible environment that you can do it in." - Ann Akemon

Kate Boswell, RN and Nurse Navigator for the Schneck Cancer Center agrees, "These chairs are super nice and we really want to thank the Schneck Foundation."

Promoting opportunities that improve the health of our communities is at the core of what the Schneck Foundation does. The Schneck Foundation was vital in establishing the current Schneck Cancer Center facility and continues to support initiatives to advance cancer prevention and treatment in our communities.
