I grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana, where I was active in football, wrestling, and enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, and making music with friends. I studied chemistry at Indiana State University, joined SAE, and took part in the annual tricycle race. I also studied abroad in Granada, Spain to improve my Spanish, tutored chemistry, and worked part-time as an ED tech at the local hospital.

I live close to the hospital with my wife and our two cats, who definitely keep things interesting. Most of my family is still in Terre Haute, but I also have relatives in Georgia and Florida, so we’re pretty spread out.

I really enjoy spending time outdoors—hiking, disc golfing, fishing, and relaxing in nature, whether it’s at the beach or in the mountains. My wife and I also love traveling and exploring new places together. At home, I unwind by playing video games.

My wife and I love going on cruises—they’re one of our favorite ways to travel. I’d really like to explore more of Australia and Asia, and cruising would be a great way to experience different places in those regions. I’ve visited Barcelona several times and absolutely love it; it’s definitely a place I’d enjoy returning to.

I knew I wanted to become a physician as early as elementary school. I went through a serious illness as a child, and once I understood what had happened and how I was cared for, I felt a strong calling to help others in the same way. That experience really shaped my desire to pursue medicine and make a difference in people’s lives.

I really enjoy providing anesthesia and being part of a team that helps patients through surgery safely and comfortably. Helping reduce pain during and after procedures is incredibly rewarding. I also appreciate the hands-on, procedural nature of anesthesiology, and I value the positive interactions with patients who are often relieved to meet the person managing their pain.

Over the years, I’ve had many memorable patient experiences, from critically ill individuals who made remarkable recoveries to milestones like delivering my first baby. Each moment has shaped my perspective and deepened my commitment to patient care. I’m excited to continue building meaningful patient stories here at Schneck.

I was drawn to Schneck for several reasons—its close proximity to my hometown of Terre Haute, the warm and welcoming community, and most importantly, the strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie within the anesthesia department. From the start, it felt like a place where I could thrive both professionally and personally.
