
New Physicians Join Schneck Medical Center

Schneck Medical Center announces the slate of new doctors joining the Schneck team. These doctors will begin seeing patients in August and September 2021. Read below for more information on the doctors and the practices they join at Schneck.
Dr. Jordan Maryfield – Schneck Cancer Center

Dr. Jordan Maryfield joins Schneck Cancer Center as a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist. Dr. Maryfield attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University, and completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology through Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN.
Originally from Bloomfield, IN, Dr. Maryfield says, “thanks to the outstanding care Dr. Olivarez and Dr. Sgroi have provided over the years, Schneck is well respected in the hematology/oncology community and I look forward to continuing that tradition.”
Dr. Willie Talbert – Schneck Internal Medicine

Dr. Willie Talbert joins Schneck Internal Medicine in August 2021. Dr. Talbert attended medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed his residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Dr. Kristin Sanders – Schneck Pediatrics

Beginning in August 2021, Dr. Kristin Sanders joins Schneck Pediatrics. Dr. Sanders completed her residency in Pediatrics at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She completed medical school at American University of the Caribbean in Cupecoy, St. Maarten, and Royal Blackburn Hospital in Blackburn, England. Dr. Sanders and her husband are expecting a baby in September! “Family is very important to me and I immediately could tell that it was important to the people here,” Dr. Sanders said about choosing to practice with Schneck Pediatrics.

Dr. Darcy Marr – Schneck Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Darcy Marr joins Schneck Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in September. Dr. Marr comes to us upon completing a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the University of Illinois, in Chicago, IL. His residency and medical school took place at University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia. When asked about his favorite memory from medical training, he will tell you his answer is a three-way tie: being present for the birth of each of his three children (one in medical school, one during residency, and one during his fellowship)!

Dr. Courtney Savilla – Schneck Medical Center, Hospitalist

Dr. Courtney Savilla joins the Hospitalist team at Schneck Medical Center to provide excellent in-patient care. She is the recipient of the Katinka Kersten, MD, Award for Excellence in Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine presented by the University of Missouri Department of Child Health Division of Pediatric Hospitalists. Dr. Savilla attended medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia, and went on to complete her residency at University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Dr. Savilla says she loves “the small town family feel” of Seymour that reminds her of home.
Dr. Courtney Laubach, Dr. Nicholas Neuman, Dr. Yulong Chen – Schneck Medical Center, Anesthesiology

Schneck Medical Center welcomes anesthesiologists Dr. Courtney Laubach, Dr. Nicholas Neuman, and Dr. Yulong Chen.
Dr. Yulong Chen joins Schneck from a Fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Service at University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Rush University in Chicago, IL. and medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Nicholas Neuman attended medical school at Philadelphia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and completed an internship at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, PA. His residency in Anesthesiology was completed at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN.
Dr. Courtney Laubach completed medical school at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA, an internship at Kettering Health Network in Kettering, OH, and residency in Anesthesiology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN.
Fun fact – Drs. Neuman and Laubach are engaged to be married! To each other!
Dr. Kenny Kennedy – Southern IN ENT
In addition, Schneck Medical Center welcomes Dr. Kenny Kennedy to Southern Indiana ENT. Dr. Kennedy grew up in Tennessee, which is where he attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology in Louisville, KY, at the University of Louisville. Dr. Kennedy looks forward to collaborating with the “friendly, caring, and dedicated team members” at Schneck.
