I grew up in Fishers, a suburb on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
I met my wonderful wife, Kelsey, near the end of medical school, and we had our son Jett during my last year of residency.
I am an avid runner, so you may see me pushing Jett around town in his jogging stroller. I love sports, and I'm a huge Colts fan.
My father encouraged me to travel abroad during my collegiate years. I received formal training in Spain as a medical interpreter, which I used to volunteer with the organization Timmy Global Health. In my role, I interpreted for physician-led medical brigades in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Ecuador. I enjoyed working with patients and seeing how impactful the relationship with their physician could be.
I love the productivity of the operating room, and I've never seen a patient get upset when their anesthesiologist walks through the door. I find a great deal of fulfillment in helping my patients feel comfortable before their surgery or labor.
I enjoy using my knowledge of medications and procedural techniques to create plans that focus on preventing and treating pain. My favorite moment working with patients is getting the chance to shake their hand in the recovery room after they've made it through their big day.
After spending eight years working at five different hospitals in downtown Indianapolis for medical school and residency, I was looking for a smaller town to settle down and raise a family. Schneck maintains a high-level anesthesia practice that you'd find at large academic centers.
