Get to Know Dr. Mikles

Dr. Jill Mikles loves sports and helping athletes get back in the game after injury. She also enjoys caring for anyone who needs orthopedic care and helping improve a person's quality of life. Watch the video to learn more about Dr. Mikles.

I grew up in Highland, Illinois. In college, I was a four-year letter winner and two-time Division II NCAA Tournament participant in basketball at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

I enjoy playing and watching all types of sports. In fact, I ran the Boston Marathon in 2011. And, my favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals. My husband Allen proposed to me at Busch Stadium the day after the Cardinals won the 2011 World Series!

Tahiti!

I broke my wrist playing high school basketball. My orthopedic surgeon was the team doctor for the St. Louis Blues and I knew then that I wanted to take care of athletes too.

My favorite memory was a mission trip to Guatemala. The people were so appreciative of what we could do for them. I also enjoyed playing basketball with the young kids when we were done for the day.

I achieved my dream of taking care of injured athletes and helping others.

I really enjoy the physicians and medical staff. Everyone is friendly and a lot of fun. I think Seymour is a great community and has many similarities to my small hometown of Highland, Illinois that makes me feel right at home.

"I had concerns going in, but was surprised at how easy getting a hip replacement was.  I would recommend Dr. Mikles and her staff to anyone!"
